About the Project

The project was a one-week solo sprint research for the UX/UI Immersive course. We received a few briefings and I chose to work on one about eDreams. The main objective was to give end-users an engaging experience at their destination with an interesting and accessible selection of activities. I chose to solve this problem with a human solution: eDreams Ambassadors.

Deliverables

My Process

My first step was to conduct five interviews with end-users who met the briefing criteria (young people, alone or with friends/family, who had travelled in the last six months). After that, I conducted a benchmark of the competition to search for similar offers. Additionally, I conducted an eDreams benchmark to identify potential opportunities to apply the new proposal.

Results

The main insights that I got was:

  1. Users value the opinions of local citizens more than anything else.
  2. They want to have unique experiences that make them feel special and that they can't experience in other destinations.
  3. They want activities close to them that let them get to know the city while walking to that place.

I integrated Getyourguide.es into the eDreams branding and created a new service called 'Ambassadors'. These local citizens guide and accompany travelers to their chosen destination.
